About Switch-N-Go
The Switch-N-GoTM Detachable
Truck Body System is manufactured by Deist Industries, formerly
known as Bucks Fabricating. The Switch-N-Go is
fully manufactured in the U.S. Our company has been in the
detachable truck bed/body business since 1986. The Switch-N-Go system
was introduced in 2002 and due to its unique nature, our
company holds the patents on the components of the system.
The advantages of the Switch-N-Go Detachable
Truck Body System:
- works the same as a dump truck
- lighter weight - adds only 500 lbs. more to the chassis
weight than an ordinary dumping truck
- easy to install - designed to run w/ electrically powered
hydraulics
- low loading angle - load a body as low as 25 degrees
- only half the cost of similar systems
- one truck - multiple truck beds
Works the same as a dump truck
The Switch-N-Go Detachable
Truck Body System allows the user to dump a load in a uniform
pile at 50 degrees. Other detachable systems like Holts'
Mini-Roll-Off system or single pivot hooklift units do not
allow this feature. When dumping a body with their system
the body is drug on the ground until the load is out, which
does not allow for a uniform pile. Most of those units
cannot achieve a dump angle greater than 40 degrees. When
the body is on the Switch-N-Go System
it will look and work the same as a dump body mounted to
the chassis.
Light weight
The Switch-N-Go System adds
only 500 pounds of extra weight above having a dump body
on the chassis. Other systems can add as much as a ton to
the chassis, greatly reducing the payload of the truck.
Lower cost
The Switch-N-Go System is the lowest cost
system compared to all other detachable body systems and truck beds. By utilizing
an electric winch and electric over hydraulic pump on our main systems, we
have reduced the cost of installation by at least $2,000.00. This is the typical
cost of a PTO, hydraulic pump and installation on a truck with an automatic
transmission. Also, eliminating the need for a large hydraulic reservoir. For
any of you that have looked at purchasing a hooklift 11,000 - 26,000 GVWR and
the price tag set you back, the good news is we are about half the cost. The
basic unit is approximately $3,000.00 more than installing a dump body on a
chassis.
Easy to install
With the electric system installation is a breeze. If you purchase the
units prewired, your installation time would be 3 to 4 hours. We have incorporated
a steel sub-frame so that you set the unit on the chassis, attach the four
sheer plates, run the power supply from the battery and then run the control
pendant into the cab. Final items would be touching up the paint, and installing
optional items like fenders and ICC bumper with lighting kit. We expect the
total install time to be less than 16 hours.
Lower loading angle
The loading angle can be adjusted unlike some other systems.
It can load a body as low as 25 degrees. This means that
a skid steer can be loaded with an equipment platform without
the loader moving (if you try this at least use a loose chain
in case there is slippery substance on the deck).
